I've had an extremely long year, make that an extremely long year and a half, but I was thinking about it, so I decided to check out some of what I am not caught up on. Since I'm only three chapters behind with Destined I figured I'd start there. Seeing as it's past midnight and I have work in the morning I only read a chapter. I chuckled throughout it.
Quote:
"Stay out of the candy. You two have fun." Chris snagged his backpack and walked out the door. D.J. just stared at the door as it closed, then turned to look at Wyatt his mouth open in awe.
"Did he just ditch us?"
Love that line. That's funny especially when paired with the beginning.
I vaguely remember reading something about you planning to use Rex and Hannah, but I didn't recognize this at first when I saw the name Hannah. I though "makes me think of Rex and Hannah" and when I saw the name Rex I sat up at attention. I've been on the new Charmed Sons site a lot and I have the fanfiction section indexed there, so I see those names a lot.
I think I am going to really enjoy this story. That isn't really news to me. I always enjoy your stories. But this one should be especially fun because I love seeing Charmed come back to haunt the boys if you get my drift.

Not abandoned, its on hold, I was thinking about it yesterday and if I can get with Twin Swords, I'd like to have a chapter out by Halloween. Don't fret, I am extremely busy and TS has the ultimate control over the Destined thread, but I would like to finish the chapter that's nearly completed and have it to you soon.

Hey folks! Just a quick "update" to let you know how things are going. Jen is right... she's been busy and, well, what with the whole being a new mom thing happening for me, I haven't had a whole lot of computer time. I hop on in fits and spurts when my little one decides she's actually willing to take a nap and let Mommy have a break. I am the predominant writer for Destined, handling most of the story-lines there, just like Jen handles the Sons of Destiny (Pre-Destined) stories primarily, but we both help one another. After all, there's continuity to be considered and the stories do all link together! The next chapter is actually nearly done... I know... I know... it's like, almost a year between updates on Destined, but Jen moves a lot faster with the SoD stories than I can contribute to the site these days. So, while I apologize for ya'll having to wait SOOOO long to see the stories of Chris and Wyatt's adult lives move forward, I'm glad that you're all still sticking with the site, enjoying, reading, and carrying on discussions. Your support is appreciated!
Now, off to attempt knocking out a little more of this next chapter... so that maybe we CAN update again by Halloween. Thanks Jen! And thanks to all the fans!

So what? Samara is a good girl? She has to be a good girl if she is able to take the Book I’m in two minds over this revelation I liked her elusiveness I lke Janna and DJ scene indeed amusing DJ is a pefect cavalier even with a demon and I like Andea coming her dry wit I was glad Wyatt could relax with two girls also I'ld dance with great pleasure with him even if I prefer him in black I hope Rex and Hanna had a well concocted scheme they are underestimating the Twicw Blessed and his brother but I remember they were smart demons they cannot disappoint me Thanks Twin Swords a sizeable update as always
Sometimes when you're Charmed, it means your name is Halliwell. Sometimes when you're a son, your mom is one of the powerful Charmed Ones and your dad has been a whitelighter, Elder, and Avater Sometimes when you're a brother, your brother's birth was prophesied to be twice blessed and you were just born Sometimes when you're Christopher Perry Halliwell, the shoes you have to fill . . . are yours

Hee hee hee! I just went completely giggly reading that - I've never been a character before (unless you count a writing project in primary school), thank you- it's a very cool prize!! Hee! Okay, onto the review.
A very nice update as always, you have set yourselves rather high standards which must make life difficult, especially when juggling with motherhood (an after-the-fact huge congratulations by the way, and consider me jealous of the bedtime stories baby will be getting!)
I am INCREDIBLY intrigued into the backstory- even though there's only a few years between SoD & DtCS, something tells me they've been a busy few years and I don't know how you keep it straight in your heads. I feel a bit like the donkey in the scenario, and you are using DJ and his observations as the stick to dangle the carrot just out of reach. It's most infuriating. First with the elder-hatred, now the 'Wyatt-unhappy-until-he-moved' malarkey- simply missing his brother and partner in crime, or something more? I need to know! Bravo for those touches.
So there's more to the mysterious neighbour that meets the eye- yet she can touch the book. Innnnteresting. It occurs to me that I have more faith in you than in the writers of the later series of Charmed. If this were an episode of Charmed, I would be thinking: how can whatsherface touch the book? Plot hole! In Destined, I automatically assume there's something planned.
Poor DJ and his bad luck with the girls. Will you give him a nice girlfriend? Or is that as unlikely as poor Wyatt actually getting some downtime without demons interrupting? Or as Chris getting through an episode without being attacked? (I have noticed that the next episode is called Everyone Loves Chris, but I remain sceptical)
The horse sounds weird, and it's nice that there's a different take to other versions of various horsemen. It will be good to see where you take it.
This seems to have been a very long review- sorry! Looking forward to more, as always! And also, hee! x

Wow! Thanks for the reviews already guys!
And yes, it is more of a challenge to juggle my writing with motherhood, running a household, and working on art commissions... but I'm happy that when I do get the inspiration and the time to write that it can bring some joy into the lives of others. That's what any writer wants: that what they write can reach out to the readers.
Kiara! So glad that you're enjoying your appearance in "Destined" and that you liked the new chapter enough to write such a long review! You never have to apologize for long reviews. We love them! They give us extra feedback and inspiration. They let us know just how we're doing and what the readers are thinking. We love short reviews too -- even just a blurb of "That was great" or "Good chapter" is encouraging, but I live for the longer reviews that tell me a little more about what our readers expect, and what they're enjoying.
And I enjoy watching the wheels turn in the readers heads about Samara... as well as the joy that D.J. brings to the stories, hearing what people think of the "OC's" that Jennifer and I have as supporting cast for Chris and Wyatt is wonderful. I know that she and I have set high standards for our stories -- and yes, sometimes it IS tough to keep everything straight with the timelines! Particularly when, while we know the direction and the "major events" in the boy's lives, a lot of the little details get filled in as we go and we continually have to check ourselves to make sure that we aren't missing anything or contradicting something that we have already written.
As for how Samara was able to touch the Book of Shadows... what she wants with it... and what's going to happen with Rex and Hannah... you'll all just have to stay tuned...
There's a method to our madness.
As for the other questions about D.J. getting a nice girlfriend, Wyatt getting some demon-free downtime, or Chris avoiding being attacked... you'll also just have to keep "watching" (or reading as the case may be!)...

Had I hit it? Samara is linked to an Excalibur brotherhood? I am exited!
I love this chapter the description of the Avalon party is realistic and fizzy I like also the surrounded characters and the scene with DJ Andy and Janna is exciting
I hope Andy saw Wyatt and the two girls I'ld like to see her struggling with jealousy

Interesting chapter. Not much action, but plenty to think on and torture myself with new theories. I'm interested to see what Janna is planning. I wonder why Wyatt was in such a hurry to move in with his little brother. I can understand being overprotective and wanting to stay close in case of attack, but why live in the same apartment? I know I can't wait to put some distance between me and my little brother, but I do worry about something happening while I'm away at college. As to the concerns for Chris's well being from the readers, I don't mind the attacks as long as he doesn't die. I feel sorry for DJ, he needs a girl who understands him. I am waiting for more flashbacks to past Halloweens (hint hint . I'm still loving it! Keep up the fantastic work!

Why all and sundry are feeling strongly that DJ 'll turn evil? First the Elders, now Janna,Janna seems really involved in a future turning, maybe she'ld like an evil DJ besides her dream of the rewards of the bounty on Wyatt and Chris, maybe he'ld be flattered Why Wyatt is still thinking of the Goblins, are they still a threat? Why is Samara holding the Book ? How can Samara be able to hold the Book? What are planning Rex and Hannah? I like to ask myself these questions, I like that Rex is still furious because the defeat, I like to think Wyatt and Chris wandering in the darkness of the campus, in a cold autumn night, I like shadowy atmosphere It wouldn't be a bad idea if Andy were a little bit jealous, her sarcasm would take advantage of it As always when I read a chapter I become keen to read more and more and more
